Standley Lake Library’s Annual Charity Drive for a Season of Giving

Standley Lake Library's Yarn and Needle Arts Group annual community charity drive is on, and this year, they're teaming up with Volunteers of America Colorado (VOAC) for a season of giving that promises to warm hearts and make a difference in our community.

Charity Drive Details

  • Duration: Oct. 15 - Dec. 3
  • Collection Items: Hats, gloves, shoulder shawls, afghans, blankets, fabric armchair organizers, bags for walkers and wheelchairs, tote bags and toiletries.

How Can You Get Involved?

  1. Craft for a Cause: Whether you're a knitting master, crochet enthusiast or sewing expert, use your skills to create these items yourself. Visit the Standley Lake Library starting Oct. 15 to pick up knitting and sewing patterns to inspire your creations.
  2. Donate to Make a Difference: You can still make a significant impact by purchasing any of the listed items and donating them. A collection box will be located at the Library's entrance for drop-off.

Drive Close and Collection

Following the conclusion of the charity drive, all the collected items will be showcased on Dec. 7, coinciding with the Yarn and Needle Arts monthly meeting. VOAC will be on hand to gather these contributions, ensuring they are given to those who need them most.

Why Your Contribution Matters

In partnership with VOAC, we are enthusiastic about joining forces to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those less fortunate, especially as winter approaches.
