Extended Summer Hours Coming to Conifer Library

Increased access is coming to Conifer Library! Beginning May 29, temporary summer hours will take effect, expanding morning and afternoon access for our patrons.

The Conifer Library is unique among our 10 full-service locations in that it shares a building with Conifer High School. Students use the space during the day, while the public library opens in the evening and on weekends. Increasing access to the library has been requested by the community over the years. In 2020, JCPL expanded hours on Sunday mornings to great success. We were heartened by the turnout and positive response!

This pilot program will help us better serve the needs of Conifer community members and inform our understanding of the demand for library hours for use in future location planning.

Conifer Library’s summer hours:

  • Sunday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Monday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 12 - 8 p.m.
  • Thursday: 12 - 8 p.m.
  • Friday: Closed
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Opening at 10 a.m. two days a week allows Conifer staff to plan even more exciting programming. From additional classes and Story Times for kids, to Art House and Book Group events for adults, there’s a little something extra for everyone at the Library this summer. All events can be found at jeffcolibrary.org.

The new hours also come just in time for the start of our Library Summer Challenge! Extended hours and programming mean even more chances to earn points, win prizes and support your schools.

School year hours are anticipated to resume on August 14. Learn more about the hours at our locations.
