  • Electric Vehicle Charging

You may contact the electric vehicle charging vendor through the mobile app with any questions or concerns. Vendor contact information is also available on the charging stations.

Belmar Library's stations are serviced by Chargepoint app. Evergreen Library charging stations are serviced by SynergEV, opens a new window app. Columbine, Lakewood and Standley Lake Library are all serviced by Blink Charging App, opens a new window

When the three-hour charging period has concluded, you will receive a reminder notification from the vendor app to relocate your vehicle to make the stall accessible to other patrons.

The goal of JCPL’s charging stations is to provide free charging to patrons, while also ensuring that stalls are promptly vacated once vehicles have been charged. This approach maximizes vehicle charging availability and use and aligns with our commitment to equitable access.

JCPL provides you with three hours of complimentary charging station use. Following the free three-hour time period, a charge of $2 per 15 minutes of charging, with a maximum charge of $40, will apply. This fee is intended to ensure equitable access and maximize patron use of the charging stations.

JCPL charging stations will be available daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. In accordance with the JCPL library grounds policy, overnight parking on library property is not permitted.

Charging stations are currently located at Belmar, Columbine, Evergreen, Lakewood and Standley Lake Library. JCPL will share information as additional locations become available.

To use the charging stations at Columbine, Lakewood or Standley Lake, patrons will need to download the Blink Charging app, opens a new window.

Evergreen patrons will need to download the SynergEV, opens a new window.

To use the Belmar charging stations, patrons will need to download the Chargepoint app, opens a new window.

These apps direct users to electric vehicle charging stations, hours, payment methods and more.

JCPL has an ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being and we continue to prioritize the journey toward carbon neutrality within our facilities and services. As part of this initiative, we have secured grants and reimbursements to install electric vehicle charging stations at select libraries.

  • Express Library

First, you need to register. Individuals 18 years and older with a valid Jefferson County Public Library card can complete the online registration form for Express Library access. You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of submission.

Second, you will need to comply with all standard JCPL policies in addition to Express Libraries Use Policies:

    • My library card only allows entry for myself and any accompanying minor(s) I am responsible for.
    • I will make sure the entrance door closes behind me when entering the Express Library.
    • I will not open the door to vendors or any other persons trying to enter the Express Library.
    • I will be responsible for the conduct and behavior of all accompanying minors under the age of 18.
    • I will notify JCPL if my card is lost or stolen.
    • I will comply with any posted requirements and announcements made.
    • I will notify staff if I observe anyone violating any part of these policies.
