This August, the Belmar Library will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the Library is gathering memories of our patron's fondest moments at Belmar. We invite you to share your memories with us.
You can judge Belmar Library by its cover - a lovely curved copper roof shaped like an open book. It is indeed an open book to the variety of visitors who come each day. The library, opened August 5, 2000, was designed especially to make it simple and pleasant to use for the diverse community it serves.
That diversity is reflected on Belmar's shelves, which hold many materials in Spanish (also cataloged in Spanish) for adults and children. Jefferson County Public Library's materials for teaching literacy are also housed at Belmar.
Belmar offers diverse services too. In a hurry? Use the self-service checkout. Like to research online? Use one of our Web-accessible computers to search the Internet. Prefer to curl up with a good book? Do it in one of the comfortable chairs in our window-lined reading room. Need a unique gift? Buy it at the Friends of the Library Gift Shop. Want children's programs, computer classes, study rooms, DVDs or audiobooks? Find them all at Belmar Library.
