Libby Will Require PINs Starting Oct. 15

As part of an ongoing commitment to providing secure access to digital resources, Libby will require your PIN in addition to your library card number starting Oct. 15. This requirement will apply when you log into the Libby app on a mobile device, Libbyapp.com or the classic OverDrive website. In addition, your PIN will be required the first time you log into the Kanopy app or Kanopy website.

Know your PIN?

Yes? Great! When prompted, simply enter your card number and PIN associated with your library account and continue enjoying Libby.

PIN? What’s a PIN?

We're here to help! A PIN is a four-digit number you set when you first got your library card, either in person, or via our online application. To activate your PIN or set up a new PIN, follow the steps below.

  1. Try logging in with your library card number and the default PIN (your four-digit birth year). If you haven't previously activated your PIN, you may be prompted to set up your online account.
  2. If that doesn't work, request a PIN reset. You'll need your library card number and access to the email address associated with your library card.
  3. Still stuck? Contact us for assistance.

We recommend you verify your log-in credentials before Oct. 15 to ensure your reading or listening experiences are not interrupted.
