Ready, set, read!

Summer Reading 2018 is underway

Summer Reading 2018 is finally here, and it's time to get the party started! From fun launch parties to tailored reading lists, we have everything you need to start rockin' the books this summer!

Kick off your summer of fun. Embark on your Summer Reading journey at one of our kick-off eventsCelebrate with rock-related crafts, games and other fun. Leave inspired and ready to conquer your summer reading challenge.

Start reading. We’ve upped our countywide reading goal to 40 million minutes this year, and we need your help to get there. Reserve must-read titles and bestsellers. Browse exciting beach reads or catch up on the classics. Check out magazines and e-books online. Download audiobooks. Remember ANY reading counts.

Register for events. Rock the Books all summer long by registering for one of our Summer Reading-related programs. Get musical. Create hands-on fun. Laugh with friends. Discover new skills. Explore all summer has to offer.

Get social. There’s no need to go it alone this summer. Grab a buddy and head to one of our exciting book groups, including new-this-year, BYOB(ook) Group from Wheat Ridge Library.

Find your inspiration. Whether you're just competing against yourself or representing your school in the school contest, find your motivation to read at Foothills Animal Shelter. When we pass the countywide goal of 40 million minutes, Foothills Animal Shelter receives a $500 cash award to help fund their invaluable services. Every minute counts to help these furry friends, so remember to log your time.

Earn prizes. Registered to read? Don't forget to grab your starter prize at your local library starting June 1. Collect a second prize halfway through. And earn an even bigger prize when you finish!

It's not too late to register for Summer Reading 2018! Register today and rock those books all summer long!
