Break out the gingerbread, icing and sweet decorations for your chance to taste victory in the 2023 Gingerbread House Contest at Golden Library! Compete on your own or as a team to build the most creative gingerbread structure for display at the Library.
Submit Your Gingerbread House
Bring your completed gingerbread house to the Golden Library anytime between Nov. 30 and Dec. 11 to enter the contest. Your imagination is the limit as you put your own twist on a holiday classic.
We'll award prizes in four categories:
- Kids (ages 0 - 9)
- Tweens and Teens (ages 10 - 18)
- Adult (19+)
- Group/Team (all ages)
Please make sure your entry is no larger than 12 x 12 inches.
To help get you started, gingerbread house kits will be available for pickup at Golden Library starting Nov. 30 while supplies last.
Vote for Your Favorite Gingerbread Houses
Once you've brought in your piece of sugar-and-spice architecture, get ready to vote for your favorites. Voting will be available in-person at the Golden Library and online Dec. 12 - 17.
Celebrate the Winning Gingerbread Houses
Enjoy an awards celebration hosted at the Golden Library with the whole family, 5 - 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 18, where you can check out all the scrumptious finalists and congratulate the winners during this festive send-off into the holidays.
