Construction of the future Deer Creek Library will start in early 2027! Beginning in January, there will be no public access to the building or parking lot. As a result, a few changes are coming to the South County Bookmobile Stop and programing at the future home of Deer Creek Library.
Returns Bin and Bookmobile Services Ending
With the new Deer Creek Library's opening on the horizon, the Bookmobile South County stop will be ending at the end of this year. It will make its final stop on December 26 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The South County Returns Bin outside the home of the future Deer Creek Library will also be removed on December 14.
Don't worry, you can still pick up holds and return items 24/7 at the Ridge Rec Center Holds Locker at 6613 S. Ward St., Littleton. Holds placed for the South County Bookmobile Stop will be automatically redirected to this location after December 26. Learn how to change your holds pickup location or contact a librarian for support.
Deer Creek Library Programs Moving
While the building is under construction, we will continue providing Library programs in the nearby area. Check out Events at Deer Creek for Story Time, Fiber Flair, Mahjong for Everyone and Fiction Readers Book Group locations and schedules.
Visit the Deer Creek Library Project page for more information about the new location or subscribe to the project e-newsletter to get updates delivered straight to your inbox.
We are excited to start construction of this new library location! Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we enter this new phase of the project.
