Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is the fourth largest library system in the state of Colorado, with 10 full-service buildings (and two more on the way), four off-site Holds Lockers, one Lending Machine, one self-service Express Library and a roaming Bookmobile located throughout the county. We meet you where you are, from the suburbs to the mountains.

As a library system, we strive to be an essential destination for all generations, helping you connect, discover, create and grow. Whether you're looking to read, watch, learn or play, we have something for everyone. And a library card is all you need to get started. Getting Started at the Library

Step 1: Get a Library Card

Colorado residents can easily get a library card! Apply online or in person. For in-person applications, just bring your photo ID; minors will need a parent or guardian with theirs.
