Girls in STEM Competition

Hey, girls in 5th - 8th grades! What will you create? Think BIG. Think small. Think about how you can make the world a better place.

Use your imagination and STEM knowledge to make the world a better place or solve an everyday problem with an original design or concept. Creations can be related to energy and environment, health and nutrition, or biomedical. Include a hypothesis and a visual aid of your concept – a video, tri-fold display, poster, model or anything that best conveys the innovation. Participants may work individually or in groups of four or less.

Competition begins December 4. Register here.

Submission deadline February 3, 2018.

DECTech Students, Colorado School of Mines outreach program designed for girls, will serve as judges for the competition on February 4, 2018.

Winners will be honored at the International Women's Day Luncheon on March 8, 2018. All contestants will receive a certificate of participation.
