More than 180 middle school students and their teachers attended the Epic STEM Fair presented by Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) on Friday, December 13, finding inspiration in science and technology fields.
The Jefferson County students attended JCPL’s Epic STEM Fair, an effort organized by the library to help middle schoolers discover an interest in STEM learning and careers. Students formed teams of one to four people to create a project based on one of seven categories, then worked to prepare a project for a judged competition. Winners in each category won $500 for their school's STEM classroom or club, and every participant received a medal.
