As part of JCPL's commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being, we have secured grants and reimbursements to fund electric vehicle charging stations at select locations.
Charging stations are currently available at Belmar Library, 555 S. Allison Parkway in Lakewood, and Evergreen Library, located at 5000 County Highway 73 in Evergreen, with additional future locations planned.
Patrons can enjoy three hours of free vehicle charging per session, after which fees will apply. Charging stations will be available daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. In accordance with the JCPL library grounds policy, overnight parking on library property is not permitted.
Evergreen and Belmar currently have different charging station vendors. Charging station users will need to download the EV Connect app, opens a new window to use Evergreen charging stations and the Chargepoint app, opens a new window to use Belmar charging stations. These apps direct users to electric vehicle charging stations, hours, payment methods and more.
