Voting Resources and JCPL Service Updates Through Election Day

Are you ready to make your voice heard? Ballot drop-off in Jefferson County begins October 9 with in-person polling starting October 19. You can use Jefferson County Public Library as a resource for information and access to ballot drop boxes as well as County polling centers at select locations.

“We are proud to promote civic engagement and provide access to information to our patrons,” said Donna Walker, executive director of JCPL. “We take seriously our mission to help build an educated and vibrant community by providing equal access to information and opportunities. A strong community starts with informed and engaged people. We encourage all to exercise your voting rights and let your voices be heard this election season.”

JCPL has provided Voter Service and Polling Center locations for more than a decade. This year, in order to meet County Public Health safety guidelines, we found it best to close walk-in services at Library locations that are also polling centers from October 19 through November 3: Belmar, Columbine, Evergreen and Standley Lake Library. Lakewood Library will also be a polling center on November 2 and 3. Curbside services, opens a new window will continue at all locations. For convenience, bring your ballot to the 24-hour ballot drop boxes, opens a new window located outside Belmar, Columbine, Evergreen, Lakewood and Standley Lake beginning October 9.

Walk-in services, opens a new window are available at Arvada, Conifer, Edgewater and Golden Library locations during the election season. We recommend using one of these locations for access to computers, study rooms, browsing and more. Our virtual services also are available, such as Book a Librarian, opens a new window or our Online Library, opens a new window. We’re also available to help by phone, opens a new window or email, opens a new window.
