Calling All Teens! Want to Volunteer at JCPL this Summer?

Looking for ways to get involved at JCPL this summer? Become a Library Summer Challenge teen volunteer, and you'll meet cool people, help out the community and get lots of great snacks!

Teen volunteers sign up Summer Challenge participants, give out prizes, assist with events, help as junior counselors at one of our kids' summer camps and more!

Why should you come and spend your summer break with us? Here's what just a few of our past volunteers told us about the experience:

"I like volunteering at the Library because it is the most direct way I can give back to the community." —Oliver

"I volunteered because I knew I'd be bored over the summer. And I get free stuff and snacks at the Library." —Tayla

"I enjoy seeing all the little kids' faces light up when you hand them a ticket to the aquarium or tell them they get a free book." —Kate

"Reading is super cool, so the more people that enjoy it, the better." —Justin

And volunteering at JCPL doesn't just benefit you and the Library, but our entire Jefferson County community.

"It shows people that not only do teens like to read, but they can be friendly and hardworking as well, despite some of the stereotypes." —Annabelle

"It also helps the image of the Library and shows that there are so many ways to be involved in the Library besides reading, which is why we hold programs and events." —Izzy

Applications are now open. Submit yours by May 30, and let's make this summer the best one yet!
