Send a Love Letter to a Story

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Jefferson County Public Library by honoring your favorite stories with a love letter—or a breakup note!

Stories have the power to inspire us, move us to act, and widen our perspectives. They can also break our hearts by taking a wild plot turn or killing off a favorite character. Give words to those experiences, whether it’s a book, movie, piece of music or TV show. Send us your letter by Wednesday, February 10, and you could see it featured in our Valentine’s Day post.

Email your love letters or breakup notes to communications@jeffcolibrary.org, opens a new window, or post them to social media and tag JCPL on Facebook, opens a new window, Instagram, opens a new window or Twitter, opens a new window accounts. Please limit your letters to no more than 200 words, so we can show off as many letters as possible. Due to current safety precautions, physical letters are not being accepted at any Library location and must be submitted by email or on social media. You can also send a photo if you prefer to create a handwritten valentine to a book, movie or any form of story!

If you love stories, you have likely reached the last page of a book or final episode of a TV show and wished you could savor every last word. Here’s your chance to stay connected with that story by sharing your affection in a love letter!
