Lynn L. Lonzanida Photography Exhibition: The Wisdom of Photography

On display through June 20

To artist Lynn L. Lonzanida, photography holds an inherent wisdom.

“I take photos to capture the moment and the beauty of my subjects,” Lynn writes. “Most importantly, each time, I receive wonderful messages and stories that my subjects deliver. I use my photos to encourage and inspire myself and others to move forward.”

Lynn’s portfolio, which is classified through the four categories of “Unique Clouds,” “Inspirational Flowers,” “Motivational Scenery,” and “Pets and Animals,” is currently on display at the Golden Library. With this collection of photos, she aims to capture the changeability, grace, dignity and harmony of all life.

Despite the abundant creativity and sensitivity Lynn displays in her exhibition, Lynn’s background is quite different from the artistic role she currently holds. Trained as medical doctor, master of public health, and certified clinical research professional, Lynn left those areas of interest more than a decade ago to become a full time caregiver to her parents. During this time, Lynn learned to value the power of photography to capture not only life’s beauty, but to inspire beauty and goodness even amid suffering.

Since the passing of her parents in 2016, Lynn now uses her photography to help other patients with dementia, believing photography can help ease some of the confusion caused by the debilitating disease. Beyond this, however, she finds her photos encouraging for all those in need of a little uplifting.

Discover Lynn’s vision of peace, creativity, and wisdom on display at the Golden Library, Sunday, May 13 – Wednesday, June 20, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day.
