JCPL is excited to announce that we're adding electric vehicle charging stations at Columbine, Lakewood and Standley Lake Library!
Charging stations are available daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Patrons will enjoy three hours of free vehicle charging per session, after which a fee of $2 per 15 minutes with a maximum of $40 will apply. In accordance with the JCPL library grounds policy, overnight parking on library property is not permitted.
Patrons of Columbine, Lakewood and Standley Lake Library intending to use the charging station will need to download the Blink Charging Mobile App, opens a new window to use the new charging stations. This app will direct users to electric vehicle charging stations, hours, payment methods and more.
In April 2024, JCPL announced new electric vehicle charging stations at Evergreen Library in addition to the existing stations at Belmar Library. These stations expand on JCPL's commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being. We have secured grants and reimbursements to fund EV charging stations at select libraries, and we look forward to bringing stations to additional locations in the future.

When the three-hour charging period has concluded, you will receive a reminder notification from the vendor app to relocate your vehicle to make the stall accessible to other patrons.

The goal of JCPL’s charging stations is to provide free charging to patrons, while also ensuring that stalls are promptly vacated once vehicles have been charged. This approach maximizes vehicle charging availability and use and aligns with our commitment to equitable access.
