Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is Coming to Jefferson County!

Households in participating zip codes can sign up to receive free books in the mail every month for children from birth to age five

Country legend and superstar Dolly Parton knows the seeds of dreams are found in books. And since 1995, her Imagination Library has mailed 215 million books to more than 3 million kids across five countries. And now the program is available to children in Jefferson County!

As an inspiration to all children to Dream More, Learn More, Care More, Be More™, Jefferson County Public Library is supporting Imagination Library Colorado, opens a new window (ILCO) with a fund of $10,000 annually from 2024 to 2028. This support is made possible by the Metropolitan Football Stadium District, opens a new window funds awarded by the County Commissioners. JCPL estimates that this will provide 42,000 books for kids in Jefferson County!

Imagination Library is available in 28 of Jefferson County's 41 zip codes. Enter your zip code, opens a new window to see if your address is eligible to receive books. 

While ILCO will administer the program in Jefferson County, JCPL will promote Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in participating locations and help connect community organizations interested in supporting the program's expansion to our partners at ILCO.

Stay Up to Date with Bright by Text Promotion

JCPL will use the Bright by Text, opens a new window service to send notifications to patrons in ILCO-enrolled Jefferson County zip codes. As ILCO becomes available in new zip codes, we will send Bright by Text notifications to area patrons.
