Raise a Reader

Simple activities, snacks and prizes. Fun, free, and at your Library!

Before a child is ready to read, they first need to read, talk, write, sing, and play. These practices help them hear the sounds that make words, recognize letters and print, gain vocabulary and tell stories. The Library’s Raise a Reader events will give parents and caregivers helpful activities and tools they can use at home to help children, from birth up, learn valuable reading skills.

Bring your babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the whole family!
