In May, JCPL will begin introducing interim services at the future South County Library location, located at 11100 Bradford Rd., Littleton, CO 80127, across Shaffer Parkway from the post office.
Beginning May 3, the Bookmobile will operate on-site on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing weekly access to Bookmobile services, including book browsing, on-board programs and activities, Summer Challenge prize claims, Wi-Fi and library card registration. To use this new stop, simply select "South County Bookmobile" as your pick-up location, which will be available after April 26.
The South County Bookmobile stop will replace the Ken Caryl Bookmobile location, which will no longer be available after its final visit on April 26. Existing holds for the Ken Caryl Bookmobile stop will automatically transfer to the new stop after this date. Additionally, the Ken Caryl returns bin will be relocated to the South County Library site on May 19.
In June, library staff will begin offering additional scheduled programming at the building. These programs will take place outside on the lawn or inside the building’s meeting room until construction begins. Once construction is underway, programs will continue outdoors. The building will only be open during scheduled indoor programming, with access limited to the meeting room and restrooms. Restrooms will be available upon request during outdoor programs. No access to the building or restrooms will be available during Bookmobile hours.

Construction at the new South County Library is expected to begin in 2026 and finish in 2027, with full services available once the library opens. While a holds locker will be installed upon the full-service opening, it will not be available during the interim period. Visit our nearby Ridge Rec Center Library Holds Locker or Lending Machine, just an eight-minute drive north, to take advantage of convenient, 24/7 library services.
