Jefferson County Public Library Board of Trustees Announces Officers

The Jefferson County Public Library Board of Trustees recently announced the election of new officers:

  • Chair: Julia Hill-Nichols, owner and principal of Leaders Cove, LLC, a management and human resource consulting firm. Ms. Hill–Nichols brings 35 years of operations management and human resource experience to the Board. She has served on the Library Board since May, 2012, most recently as vice-chair. She will serve as chair from April 2017 to March 2019.
  • Vice Chair: Charles “Chic” Naumer, CEO of CiviCore, a software company serving nonprofit and public sector organizations. Mr. Naumer’s professional and academic work focus on the development of information systems that build capacity within the social sector. He has served on the Library Board since April 2014 and will serve as vice chair from April 2017 to March 2018.
  • Secretary: Kim Johnson, Business Manager, St. Elizabeth’s School. Mrs. Johnson’s professional background includes more than a decade as a commercial property manager with several firms in Los Angeles and Orange Counties in California. She has served on the Board since November 2016 and will serve as secretary from April 2017 to March 2018.

The Jefferson County Public Library Board of Trustees is a governing board serving the citizens of Jefferson County. Trustees are charged with establishing governing policies for the Library; employing the executive director; recommending a budget and dispensing funds; acquiring and overseeing libraries and library assets; and participating in strategic planning and library advocacy.
