Library To You provides alternative services for patrons wishing to use Jefferson County Public Library. We offer access beyond our buildings. From delivering materials to offering easy JCPL access within your community and creating accessible at-home events and educational programs, we aim to meet you where you are.

Express Library
The first of its kind in the U.S., the Express Library is a fully self-service location that allows you to access JCPL services safely and conveniently on your own, without staff onsite.
Holds Lockers
Pick up reserved library materials anytime, 24/7, using our automated Holds Lockers:
Holds Locker Instructions
- When you place a hold in our catalog, select your preferred Holds Locker for your Hold Pickup Location.
- You will be notified when your hold is ready. You may then visit the Holds Locker any time, 24/7. Holds will remain in the lockers for three days.
- Scan or type in your JCPL card number.
- Your list of holds will be displayed.
- A locker door will open and you may take your items, close the locker door and touch Finish. Enjoy!
- Holds Locker pickup is unavailable for Prospector and Interlibrary Loan holds, select oversized library items (like Book Club Kits), Chromebooks and will not work with temporary JCPL cards.
- You can return Holds Locker items to any JCPL 24/7 Returns Bin or location.

We cannot extend the pickup period for a Holds Locker hold once your items are in it. However, you can have your item(s) moved from the holds locker to a JCPL location and retrieve your items via walk-in or curbside services. There will be a delay before your hold is ready, and you will receive notification when your hold is ready to be picked up.

The Holds Locker touchscreen may be overheating. You may still retrieve your items by scanning your JCPL card, trying a variety of different angles. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience! We are working towards a solution. Please call 303-235-5275 for further assistance.
Bookmobile
We love visiting community residences throughout the county, bringing library materials and services to those with difficulty accessing one of our many locations!
24/7 Returns Bins
Can’t get to a location to return your items? Library materials can also be dropped off in a JCPL Returns Bin, available 24/7. Find one near you!
Older Adult Communities Support
Our lobby-stop service supports senior communities throughout the county, delivering requested materials, service support and a friendly face to help you enjoy JCPL from your community.
Mail Delivery
JCPL provides free delivery of books, movies, music and magazines to Jefferson County residents who are temporarily or permanently confined to their homes because of illness, disability or other extenuating circumstances. This service is open to all ages.
Request a Visit
Whether you're planning a school visit, a stop at an older adult living community, a Bookmobile visit, a library tour, staffing a booth at your fair, or scheduling training on databases or e-materials, this is the place to request the library outreach services you need.
