Court-Ordered Community Service
JCPL is able to accommodate a limited number of court-ordered volunteers who are completing their service through the Jefferson County Court system.
Requirements for Volunteers
Please note: We are unable to accept court-ordered volunteers with a criminal history of sexual crimes, theft or assault/violent crime.
At this time, we are accepting new court-ordered volunteers aged 18 and over.
A typical library volunteer shift involves bending, lifting light objects (up to 10 pounds), utilizing a rolling cart and generally being on your feet for the entirety of the volunteer shift (typically two hours).
If you have physical limitations that make these tasks challenging, please let us know on your application, and we will try to accommodate you.
