You will soon have an easy and convenient way to retrieve and return your Library items near the mountain Library locations of Jefferson County!
Beginning January 6, a Holds Locker, opens a new window and Returns Bin, opens a new window will be available outside the Mountain Resource Center in Conifer, located at 11030 Kitty Drive.
The Mountain Resource Center is a nonprofit, community-based organization that delivers high-quality, integrated health and human services that empower people. Evergreen and Conifer Libraries remain open, but this new option adds convenience because of its 24/7 access.
“There was a push by our community members to have more access to Library resources,” JCPL Library To You Manager Kelly Duran said. “We look at where barriers are to access Library resources and how best to serve our community, and we identified the Mountain Resource Center as a good location for the population it reaches and the similar missions and goals it has to JCPL. We’re excited to bring these innovative and accessible Library services to more of our mountain community!”
To start using the new Holds Locker, opens a new window as your pickup location, select “Mountain Resource Holds Locker” when making a holds request online or by phone. You’ll be notified as soon as your items are ready to be picked up. You will then have three days to retrieve your items at any time convenient to you. You can return your Library materials to any location, and to the Mountain Resource Center Returns Bin or the Conifer Library Drive-up Returns Bin at any time.
Don’t worry if you’re too busy during the day or if the Library is out of your way. We’re happy to bring the Library to you, opens a new window at the Mountain Resource Center!
