Belmar and Evergreen Library Hosts Halloween Costume Swap

You are invited to take part in this year's Halloween Costume Swap, a community event that encourages sharing and reuse.

Throughout September, families can drop off clean, gently used children's costumes at Evergreen Library. Then, on Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5, families can return to pick out a new-to-you costume, enjoy a seasonal craft and celebrate the spirit of Halloween together.

Can't make it to Evergreen in September? Belmar Library will also be hosting a costume swap in October! Bring your gently used costumes and costume accessories Oct. 1 - 18 for tickets to purchase a new-to-you costume on Sunday, Oct. 19. Don't have an old costume to donate, but still want to participate? No worries! You can "buy" costume tickets by donating canned goods — five cans per outfit and one can per accessory item.

Costumes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, so early participation is encouraged.

The Costume Swap is a simple way to refresh your costume collection while helping make Halloween more sustainable and community-focused.
