(Lakewood, Colo. – Aug. 5, 2013) It’s not too late to participate in Jefferson County Public Library’s Summer Reading Club! Kids, teens and adults can sign up online at jeffcolibrary.org/summerreading or at any JCPL location through Aug. 31. Participants are eligible to receive coupons from our program partners, including California Pizza Kitchen, Colorado Rapids, Del Taco, Heritage Square, Lakeside Amusement Park, Pizza Doodle, and Westerra Credit Union; those who complete key Summer Reading Club activities will also receive a free book, compliments of the Jefferson County Library Foundation.
“Summer Reading Club is a great way for kids to get ready to go back to school,” said Donna Walker, JPCL’s director of public services. “It strengthens reading skills while giving kids a chance to enjoy some summer fun before school starts.”
Summer Reading Club is sponsored by the Jefferson County Library Foundation and the Friends of the Jefferson County Public Library. Other local sponsors include EduCyber, Larkin & Associates, LLC, Noviscon Realty LLC/John C. Bodnar and Denver Tux.
