(LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Dec. 31, 2013) Jefferson County Public Library will host a series of writing workshops geared to teens, featuring several noted authors, including Gina Damico, author of the Croak series. Topics covered will include writing prompts, manuscript editing, poetry writing, performance and more. The series of workshops will culminate with an author panel where participants will have the opportunity to hear from and interact with the authors.
“This series of workshops offers a unique opportunity for teens to interact with noteworthy authors, get their works critiqued, and gain some insight into the writing process,” said Chandra Jones, teen services librarian at Belmar Library. “Teens are an often overlooked population, so we are extremely excited to be presenting these opportunities to them.”
