Three Weeks in to Summer Reading – Where Does Your School Stand?

It’s a familiar phrase, “Read. Log your minutes. Win prizes.” But did you know your school could also win big this summer?

Every Jefferson County Public School student (age 4 -18) has to the option to select the school they'll be attending in the fall. When they do, they automatically enter the School Contest and have their minutes count toward their school total. The top-five schools with the highest percentage of finishers win an $800 cash award prize to support library or reading-related projects.

In the past, funds have been used to purchase tools for technology literacy, coding sets, wireless headphones, CD players and audiobooks, and other materials. Imagine...What could your school do with these funds?!

Where does your school stand?  You can see all the school rankings here.

No matter where you school ranks, it's time to get reading. Rally your classmates and log those minutes!
