This summer, while you're already reading and competing with Mission to Read, opens a new window, embrace the competitive edge further when you enter to win in one of our creative contests. See if you have the "right stuff" this summer as you create, write or build your way to fun, fame and maybe even a prize or two. 

Teen Creators: Fanfiction & Fan Art Contest, opens a new window
Wheat Ridge Library
Teens

Express your creative side with a piece of fanfiction or fan art. Artwork and/or writing must be own creation, but may be based on any fandom. Prizes awarded to the first, second and third place winners of both fan art and fanfiction categories.

Entry Period: June 24 – June 30
Winners Announced: Saturday, July 6



Lakewood Library
Teens

Flex your creative muscles by representing your love of a book, movie, TV show, musical artist or any fandom in a fun and creative manner. Creative contributions can be written (stories, poetry), visual (art, cosplay), or digital (video, photograph). You could win a prize valued at $25. The contest wraps up with a costume party celebrating with snacks and contest results.

Entry Period: June 25 – July 25

Standley Lake Library
Toddlers – Adults

Explore space with LEGO® bricks! Bring your stellar space-themed LEGO® creation to Standley Lake to enter the competition. Then, swing by the Library to cast a vote for your favorite. Winners will be announced at the Library.

Entry Period: July 1 – 13
Voting by Library Patrons: July 14 – 26
