Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) 2018 Budget, 2018 Strategic Plan, and 2017 Annual Report are now available online.
As these documents show, 2017 was a turn-around year for JCPL! For the past two years, we’ve been working to restore library services to pre-recession levels, and we’ve made significant progress. Now, we’re setting our sights on excellence.
2017 highlights include:
- Investing $8.3 million in books and materials
- Launching an improved website
- Introducing system-wide signature events, such as Western Reboot and Stouts & Stories/Ales & Tales
- Updating and stabilizing our technology infrastructure
- Completing a $4.2 million update of the Columbine Library
- Partnering with the city of Edgewater to plan a new 10,000-square-foot library
In 2018, we’ll focus on:
- Providing access to even more books and materials
- Enhancing access to current and emerging technologies
- Hosting the grand opening of the new Library in Edgewater
- Planning a major update to the Belmar Library in Lakewood
