Library Foundation launches naming rights recognition program

New library in Edgewater offers Jeffco residents the opportunity to create a lasting legacy

Honor or commemorate a loved one or demonstrate your love for the Library in the new 10,000-square-foot library planned for the City of Edgewater.  Jefferson County Library Foundation (JCLF) and Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) offer naming rights for Jeffco residents who wish to help provide 21st-century library services in Edgewater, while ensuring their generosity is recognized for years to come.

A range of naming opportunities are available for individuals, families, organizations, foundations and corporations, enabling donors to pay tribute to their relationship with Jefferson County Public Library and the Edgewater Library or to honor and recognize a milestone event or someone special in their lives.

  • Naming opportunities range in value from $5,000 to $50,000 and give donors the opportunity to name major areas and service offerings in the library.
  • Name recognition opportunities range from $1,000 to $5,000 and give donors recognition for providing access to updated technology and other library amenities.
  • Individual donations are welcome and will be recognized on a special donor wall inside the library.

“We’re excited to launch this program in conjunction with construction of the new library in Edgewater,” said Tami Bandimere, board president, JCLF.  “These naming opportunities allow donors to support library services and create a living legacy in Jefferson County.”

Construction on the new library began in March, with the grand opening of the new library and Civic Center planned for the fall. Residents can expect to see a modern, 10,000-square-foot library with expanded hours, plenty of books and materials (including Spanish), designated areas for children, teens and adults, dynamic programming, access to computers and the Internet, free Wi-Fi, and bilingual staff to help patrons navigate the increasingly complex world of information and technology.

In addition, the Library will serve as a Family Place, a center for early childhood information, parent education, early literacy, socialization and family support. Based on a recognized model of comprehensive family-centered services, the Edgewater Library Family Place will be the first of its kind in Jefferson County.

Moneys raised through the naming program will support enhancements to the building and its amenities. For more information on the naming program, contact Rebecca Winning at 303.275.2203 or Rebecca.winning@jeffcolibrary.org, or visit jeffcolibrary.org/Edgewater-project.
