Jefferson County Public Library to Update Community on Columbine Library Remodel

Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is inviting local area residents to preview the proposed design for the 2017 Columbine Library remodel.

On November 12 and 19, JCPL will host Community Update Meetings at the Columbine Library. Representatives from Humphries Poli Architects will be on hand to present their design concept.

“We’ve spent the past eight months soliciting input from the community, library users and staff to define a vision for the Columbine Library remodel,” said Pam Nissler, executive director, JCPL. “The input we’ve received has given us great insights into the kinds of services and amenities Jefferson County residents would like to see.

“The team at Humphries Poli has taken that feedback and developed an exciting design concept that will transform the Columbine Library into a vibrant and highly functional space befitting a 21st century library,” Nissler added.

“This is an exciting collaboration, and we are pleased to be a part of it,” said Dennis Humphries, principal, Humphries Poli Architects. “We look forward to sharing our ideas and ensuring that we’re being fully responsive to the community's needs.”
