JCPL delivers on its promises to residents

Library to host update meeting to review 2016 accomplishments and 2017 plans

Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) invites Jeffco residents to a community update meeting to hear about the Library’s recent accomplishments and preview coming attractions.

“2016 was an exciting year for Jefferson County Public Library,” said Pam Nissler, executive director, JCPL. “Thanks to a voter-approved mill-levy increase passed in 2015, we’ve been working hard to deliver on the promises we made to voters, restore Library services and put JCPL back on a path to excellence.

“We’ve made significant progress, by expanding service hours, offering more books and materials, updating our Information Technology infrastructure and catching up on delayed building maintenance,” Nissler continued. “We also have exciting plans for 2017, and we look forward to sharing them with the community.’

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, at the Lakewood Library Meeting Room, 20th and Miller, Lakewood, CO. All interested parties are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
