On Friday, February 2, 1 p.m., the Golden Library celebrates its new outside bench with a brief dedication ceremony.
Bud and Kelley Rockhill’s beloved dog, Mattie, served as a therapy dog for the PAWS for Reading program at the Golden Library, helping dozens of reluctant readers feel comfortable reading by simply being present and listening to them in a non-judgmental way. Sadly, Mattie passed on, but her owners commemorated her service to the Library by donating a new bench.
Jefferson County Public Library thanks Bud and Kelley Rockhill for their generous donation, and Mattie, for helping kids find their reading voices by listening to their stories.
