Calling all Potterheads, Sherlockians, Trekkies, Gleeks and Whovians, alike! No matter what makes you nerd out (whether you're volunteering as tribute or embracing a new superpower), it's time to step into story and get your geek on with the noble House of JCPL! Fandoms collide this October - November as Fandomonium ensues at the Library.
On Nov. 3 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, discover a multiverse of fun where all of your headcanons come to life. The main event includes costume contests, door prizes, a silent disco, potion making, a cross-fandom murder mystery, trivia, fan meet-ups and more! There will be fun, food and drink for all ages, and you're encouraged (though not required) to come as your favorite story with cosplay...just leave the weapons and Jedi-mind-tricks at home.
As you gear up for Fandomonium, make sure to hit these important milestones on your fandom-journey:
- Sign up for additional information and let us know if you'll be there for the big day. Don't worry, no blood-oath is required and we won't be carving your RSVP into stone, we just want to be fully prepared for our honored guest's arrival.
- Starting Oct. 1, train for the main event with more FAN-tastic happenings. Learn about Animals of the Wizarding World; attend special superhero Story Times; explore costume creation and special effects makeup; and discover more about what makes you nerd out at the Library.
- Embrace the Fandomonium-spirit throughout the month of October when you visit any JCPL location. Snap a picture with your favorite life-sized character, and share them with us at #fandom @jeffcolibrary. Are you up for the challenge collecting them all? (Download printable map)
