Be a Maker

Anyone can be a maker with these FREE resources from the Library

Making, simply put, is the process of creating…anything, really.

The term Maker Movement, which originated in 2005, applies to artists, builders, tinkerers, DIYers, crafters, sewers, knitters, innovators, engineers, hobbyists, hackers – anyone committed to creating. Driven by both innovation and convention, the Maker Movement is the marriage of new technologies with traditional trades. While the community is defined by production, it’s also rooted in play, in the freedom to explore and in the rich reward of learning through doing.

At JCPL, we invite you to join this community of creators, by taking advantage of our FREE maker resources. So go on, make something, and always be exploring something new at the Library.
