Scenes from a Book

LEGO® bricks have been bringing imagination to life for 60 years. Celebrate this two-time “Toy of the Century” by creating a scene from a book.

December 1, 2018 – January 5, 2019

Use your own bricks and build at home, or use the Library’s LEGO® collection. Special voting kick-off parties and end-of-contest celebrations add to the fun! Visit jeffcolibrary.org or one of our participating libraries for more information.

All winners will be shared online via social media.Participating locations: All locations, except Wheat Ridge.

How to Participate:  Only one entry

per person and it must must be completely original creations (NOT following the directions from a kit, website, or book) and can be no larger than 12’’x 12’’. One prize per category, per location.

Dec. 22 – Jan. 5: Entries accepted.

Please include the following information with your entry:

  • Name(s)
  • Contact phone
  • Ages (if under 18)
  • Title of entry
  • Choose your category: Kids (Ages 6 - 12), Teens (Ages 12-17), Adults (18+), Family (up to 4 people)
  • Whether your bricks are Library bricks or personal bricks

Jan. 6 – 12: Public voting

Jan. 12: Winners announced via social media and Library celebrations.

Locations may ask to display winning entries for a longer time period and photos may be posted on social media. Entries made from personal LEGO® bricks may be picked up January 19.  Any LEGO® entries not claimed by January 20 will be donated to the library. Entries created using library materials will remain property of the library.

While we promise to handle your LEGO® creation with care, the Library is not responsible for lost or damaged LEGO® pieces.
