When I started working at JCPL, I knew the library had movies available for checkout. What I didn’t know was that Jeffco libraries offer free movie showings on a regular basis! We’ve made it easier to find movie showings at your local library. All you have to do is go to our Events page and click on “Movies” to discover movie showings at different times, library locations, and for different audiences.
While you’re there, you might notice a few things. One is that all our movie screenings are titled “Movie Time.” For example: this Saturday, Columbine Library is hosting a Movie Time at 2 p.m. (We’re watching Ant-Man and it’s going to be great!). Since we’ll just be watching the movie, it’s simply called “Movie Time.”
However, if you see a “Movie Time Plus,” it means that we’re watching a movie PLUS something else. This could be a movie plus a craft, a movie plus a discussion, or a movie plus something else. For example: Arvada Library is hosting a Movie Time Plus on Saturday, January 30, where we invite you to show up for a movie, snacks, and possibly a craft in your jammies!
Let’s all go to the movies… at the library!
