Jenny Shank takes you through ‘The Ringer’

Bring your morning coffee to Wheat Ridge Library and get a triple shot of mind stimulating book discussion this September 21 at 9 a.m.

With two local book groups - Thursday Morning Book Group and Wheat Ridge Reads - as well as The Ringer author Jenny Shank in attendance, we just can’t think of a better way to jump-start your day.

Set in Colorado, The Ringer is an exciting and suspenseful tale. It tells the story of Patricia Maestas, the Mexican-American wife of a Mexican immigrant killed by police, and Ed O'Fallon, the officer who shot her husband, whose sons end up playing in the same competitive youth baseball league in Denver.

The Image Journal calls The Ringer “a quintessential American story that deftly and compassionately examines the nuances of race, culture, and religion in contemporary society—and it does so with heart, wit, and playfulness."

First time participants and Jenny Shank fans are encouraged to attend.

Suitable for: Adults

Presented by: Wheat Ridge Library

Hosted at: Ye Olde Firehouse, 3232 North Depew Street, Wheat Ridge, CO 80212. The building is located to the west of the library in the Senior Center parking lot.
