Ah, summer. It’s almost here. Splashing the day away at the outdoor pool, and sizzling up dinner on the grill as the sun goes down. For those of us who live in the Front Range though, summer also means fire season is upon us once again.
Although officials predict an ‘average’ or ‘below average’ fire season for 2017, this still equates to 4,500 fires, or 100,000 acres of state-owned or private property potentially at risk. In 2016, fire predictions slightly exceeded expectations.
