Deborah Deal is an accredited public relations executive (APR) and the CEO of the IX Power Foundation based in Golden. She also directs marketing initiatives for IX Power Clean Water.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, Deborah grew up in a military family and has traveled the world. Before moving to Colorado full-time, she was the Vice President of Hyperion Power Generation and ran the company’s Washington, D.C. office. She was responsible for the company’s marketing efforts and interaction with the U.S. Congress, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Pentagon, CIA and other agencies.
While living in Virginia, she cemented her love of libraries by working in various capacities to promote and raise funds for the new Gum Spring Library in Loudoun County.
In addition to serving on the Jefferson County Library Board of Trustees, she is an active alumni of Leadership Jefferson County and Leadership Golden, is the Chair of the JeffCo Innovators’ Workshop, and is involved in the West Chamber, Golden Chamber, and the Denver chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
