The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

Al Capone Shines My Shoes by Gennifer Choldenko
I liked this book a lot but I didn't really get into it until the end when they get "kidnapped" It was way different than I thought it would be though because Al Capone didn't shine his shoes...but he did according to the title?? (6/17/10)

Alibi Junior High by Greg Logsted
I picked up this book and the cover was very misleading. I was expecting to read a book for elementary kids. When I got into the story, it was very interesting. There were so many unexpected parts of the story. The book doesn't end the way you would expect it to. I was very happy that I didn't put the book back on the shelf. Keep reading, you will be surprised. (6/15/10)

The Bible
I believe that this is a book that every person should read. It shows us how to have eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God is THE all powerful God, He created everything. Jesus is the only way to go to heaven for eternity. (7/18/10)

The lists are the parts that don't seem very interesting, and everything is kind of mixed up. and God didn't really include that much humor in it. But you can start anywhere and learn about how much God cares about us and what his son sacrificed for us...dirty little sinning freaks. Admit it. Without God, we'd be nothing. The Bible is worth reading and worth believing in. It's our instruction manual to the most important things, the things that have lasted from Adam and Eve to our own weird world right now. Blood Ninja by Nick Lake

this is an amazing book! It's nonstop action and adventure. The journey starts when the main charecter, Taro is atacked. After being pierced through the stomache with a sword and turned into a Vampire. Then it just keeps going! this book rocks you should defInatly give it a try! (5/16/10)

I personally loved this book. There is action from the first chapter to the last. This breath taking book is sad in some parts but is mostly action. When Taro,the main character meets shusaku he is a little unsure because he's a ninja, When Taro gets pierced in the back Shusaku saves his life. Taro has to go to the ninja headquarters to be safe. Eventually Taro becomes a ninja himself. I can't tell you much more because then i will give the rest of the book away. (3/31/10)

This book was so boring. Without Dimitri (as a dhampir) this series is worthless. This was the worst book because Dimitri was a Strigoi. But, it is all ok because in Spirit Bound it all works out. (6/21/10)

The Book of Mormon
Considering I'm LDS, this book has amazing stories including miracles. I read it, and to tell you the truth, it takes a TON of patience to read, and a ton more patience to understand. Still, really good. (6/4/10)

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Bartoletti

An incredibly sad, dark, beautiful story of an adopted girl and her family in Nazi Germany hiding a Jew in their basement and their everyday life throughout the war. Every description in this book is amazingly original and characters come alive with every word. Told by Death himself as one of his favorite stories, the lives of the maiin characters contrast greatly with the horrors of the war that he periodically shares. An incredible book, but 13+, it is a World War II book after all. (6/29/10)

I rated this book 4 star because it is fictionalized novel with very heart rushing events that happen in the book and it's also very sad the name of the boy is Helmuth he did very good in school he made believe his teacher he was for the war and how Hitler was the greatest but he was really scared to tell his teacher that he was really against Hitler and the war and his teacher was also against it but they didn't say anything to each other because they were scared to be heard. I recommend this book to you young people who like to read about the War World 2 or Fictionalized biographies. The book is not very long but the story that it tells is amazing I really enjoyed reading the book and I hope who ever reads it likes it to. (6/3/10)

This the best book out of all four. I have read it a least 5 times. Its great because you get to see Jacob's point of view. And I think there is a lot of action maby not at first but there is a LOT later on. THis book answers a lot of questions and it has action, romans, and anything ese u could want. I absolutley loved this book! I read it in my Sophmore Honors English class. We got to disect all the details of it. And as much as it scared me, all of the class felt that we all shared similarities with Holden, the main character. He has never-ending drama and setbacks in his life... or throughout the story at least. Most of the time I just felt like yelling at him since he kept making the same mistakes over and over again. I guess some people never learn. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars (since i can't stop quoting it or thinking about it even though it is the middle of

The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod : Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer

If you are into action and adventure, this is not your book. However, if you like books about everyday life, check it out. Okay, so the people live underground. The Cupcake Queen by Heather Hepler

The Cupcake Queen is a really great book. Many teens can relate to Penny, the main character, who moves from "The City" (New York City) to Hog's Hollow, a small town where just about everyone knows each other. The pressure of going to a new high school (where she already happens to have an enemy), her parents getting a divorce, which makes Penny choose between them, and having to help manage "The Cupcake Queen", her mother and grandmother's bakery. The only way she can get through all the stress is with the support of her newfound friend, Tally, and her friend, Blake. All and all, The Cupcake Queen is an amazing book of friendship, foes, decisions, and maybe even a little romance mixed in there somewhere. Five stars. (6/8/10)

The Curse of Ravenscourt by Sarah Masters Buckey
I rated this book with five stars because it was a great book. One reason is because when every chapter ends it leaves you with a mystery. I would recommend this book to all the girls that love to read mysteries because this would be a better book for girls. (5/7/10)

As you can see I rated this book with 4 stars. I did this because almost the entire book was great but some parts could be better. I would recommend this book to any girl who likes mystery. This would also be great to any girls who like the American Girl series. I say this because this book is full of mystery! For example, mysterious things keep happening at Ravenscourt. Also, when you read this you can tell right away that it's an American Girl book. You can tell this because of the style of writing the author uses. (4/5/10)

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks
This book may be more for adults but many teens and pre-teens have enjoyed this fine book. Nicholas Sparks is the most amazing author, he made me cry so hard once the book was over. And what's weird is that I've never cried during or after a book or movie, so this was the very first book! I swear, if you pick up his book, you will not put it down!! (7/12/10)

A Dog's Life by Ann M. Martin
I read this when I was in the third grade. I didn't get all of it at the time, like what was going on and some of the comparisons the writer had tried to convey. Now that I have read it again I do believe this book is a testament to how hard anyones life can be, but they just keep pushing through whatever they face to reach the bright and shining end. This book is an excellent read for grade level students through middle school, although high school students might find it a bit too easy for their level of reading. (6/27/10)

The Dragon Heir by Cinda Williams Chima

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney
this is a great choice for a super easy read. Some of the humor is very funny. Dephinetly not for book reports or other school related stuff> Be prepared for a short read, I whipped through this in 30 minutes. (7/17/10)

I think that this book is definitley for younger kids because of the type of comedy. Also, if you like a book with a srong plot, this isn't the book for you. No plot, even though it's supposed to be a diary, still nothing that will excite older readers. (6/27/10)

Fight Game by Kate Wild
I read the book fight game I did not read the whole thing but I read most of it. I rated this book with 4 stars. Initially I say this because this book is a great book but some parts are kind of not good. I recommend this book to anybody who likes to read about fights. Even though this is a fiction book it is still good.
Eventually when you read this book you can tell that it is definitely a fiction book. You can tell this because the author uses many fake things you see in fighting movies. I think many girls wouldn’t like this book. To finish this off if you like these fiction fighting books I recommend it to you. Hopefully you have a chance to read this. (6/3/10)

The Freedom Writers Diary by The Freedom Writers with Erin Gruwell
This book was amazing because the stories in the in the book are real written by teenagers like me. They wrote them because of stuff that was either going on at school or at home or things that they just needed to get of their chest. I rate this book a 4.5 stars because it was great and reading these stories made me remember of things that have happened to me or to people that I know. Also the fact that Ms. Gruwell went on and beyond to make the students happy. This book does not have a story line it just has the entries that the students made and they are really interesting because maybe one or two of this things I can guarantee that it has happened to you and you will never regret reading this book because it is so interesting!!! All the students that wrote these stories at first hesitated to write about their own lives and to leave that gang member or bad guy or girl way because that’s how they were all their lives. I think that any body who just wants to learn that you are not the only one to go through rough times should read this book because it opens you eyes to a whole new world. (6/3/10)

Front and Center by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
This was the perfect ending to the series (at least I hope it's the ending, b/c anything more would probably ruin the series). Despite the fact that it's the end of her sophomore year in high school, DJ is a character that anyone from 7th to 12th grade can love. Overall, a great read, that's fast paced as DJ races down the court. My favorite part was probably when DJ can't decide who she wants to be with (college and boys), because it's something that everyone can relate to--i mean who hasn't been there before? (6/21/10)

A Giant Problem by Tony DiTerlizzi
The book seems so real like these events can happen and seem so familiar. And be so convincing that this may happen. Like the splash made by the Nixie when she swam away its like splashes I see all the time it makes me wonder. I say 4th-6th graders should read the book because it fits in there nature and it seems so real. For example, the giants use the look of a hill and many hills fit the description. (4/5/10)

Unlike the authors of some wildly popular book series, reading Harry Potter is a treat. If you have never read the books just because you "don't like them" or you have some sort of stubborn wall built up like "I am not going to read it and nobody can make me" you are MISSING OUT. Being myself, I got confused the first time I read it, and now I'm on my second time through. It's an amazing conclusion to a fantastic series. The book is jam-packed with battles, spells, love, deaths, births, betrayals, drama, and of course, action. I reccomend it to everyone (who has read the other books first).

I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder
I rate this book with all the stars. I did this because this book is so cool it's like twilight. I liked everything about the characters, the way it starts, basically everything. I'm not goon tell much bout it. Why don't you find out yourself it's a good book and I know you'll like it because I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this book too every teenager because I think it's a great book. I like this book for many reason's and one of them is because when you read it she makes it seem like your there and you can just picture it in your head so easily. I read the book BEAUTIFULL DEAD by EDEN MAGUIRE and I rated this book with 5 stars. I did because this book is full of suspense and mystery that will keep you wanting for more and more. This book is very interesting because it won't get you bored and you will enjoy it like I did. This book is mainly about the resurrection of 5 teenagers that "THINK" they're dead when there not. The main character DARINA has to pass through a tragicall moment in her life that is her boyfriend's death and her other friends deaths. Darina's mission is to help one of them find out how or what cause their death so that they can finally rest in piece. I recommend this book to older kids that are into the mysterious things and are curious about what happens after your dead. I know you kids will enjoy it because it's full of suspense and each event will keep you more curious about what’s going too happened next. I really enjoyed this book so I really recommend it to you and don't miss the second part called "BEAUTIFULL DEAD" (Arizona). (6/1/10).

I rate this book a 5 stars. I rate it like this because in the book it explains the ways of a female gang leader. I liked the way they talk about their lives in a gang. So in this book I it is about how the gang life is to a male and a female leader. It stared when Sonia was 12 years old and she was abused and molested by her family and her uncle. After that lady q got jumped in to the Latin queens and kings. Then she became the main queen. so after that Melisa wanted to get in it but the queen didn’t like her so she got decline to be a queen. The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
When I first saw this book a boy in my class was reading it and I didn't really know what it was about(and he said he didn't like it) so I decided not to read it. I just finished reading this book and I was amazed. It follows the story of a girl that struggles to survive when the moon gets closer to the earth. You may think this wouldn't be bad, but the moon controls the tides and lava flow, and there is all sorts of flooding and volcanoes and everyone struggles to find enough food, prevent disease, and stay warm through the biting winter. It is an amzing read, but I couldn't read it all at once because it just scared me and made me a bit paranoid. However, it was well worth the freakout, and i rate this book a 5. (6/8/10)

Maximum Ride - The Angel Experiment by James Patterson (Maximum Ride series #1)
I thought this series was awesome when I was younger but know I see all of the flaws in James Patterson's writing. There are a ton of consistancy issues (ex.Max's hair color) and he really missed the mark by trying to make the series a goos read for teenagers. I think that his previous books starring Max, Where the Wind Blows and The Lake House, were great books for adults and older teenagers. Maximum Ride isn't a book for middle schoolers, but for elementary kids. (6/29/10)

This book puts an interesting twist on the popular supernatural genre of books. I've read a lot of this genre, however, none have combined pixes and were-creatures. I loved the fact that Jones creates a world where the "were" aren't just limited to wolves--she incorporates tigers, bears, etc. making the book that much more thrilling. The suspense within these pages is enough to make anyone want to keep reading it. The beginning is a little slow because it's the first book of the series so we're introduced to setting, background info on characters, etc. but if you're able to make it through the first couple chapters, this book will leave you begging for the sequel, Captivate. I read Over the Wall by John H.Ritter. I rated this book with 5 stars because it was really interesting. Even though it's about baseball it also kind of has a story behind all the baseball. That book caught my attention easy and so far it's a great book. I would recommend this book to teens and also if you like sports. The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot (The Princess Diaries series #1)
All I can say is I never expected it to be like it was. The movie was terrible in comparison. You will be pleasantly surprised by the differences it possesses! (6/27/10)

Fabulous read all-around. Meg Cabot does an excellent job portraying a real person but with an intriguing twist. She creates a character that you would want to spend hours just talking with. If you kind of liked the movies, you will love this book. (6/19/10)

I know that you probably think that these books are really just another story that a movie was based off of, but they are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo different, there are only some things in the book that are in the movie. I love this book!!! (6/9/10)

I can absolutely not put these books down. Learning to be a princess sounds hard, but at least I don't have her grandma being so evil. I loved these, but as the books get further through her school career, the actions she makes get a bi more serious. (6/2/10)

The Recruit by Robert Muchamore
This book is absolutely amazing! Even though it sets up the CHERUB series, it is still worthwhile to read! The journey that James goes through as a young recruit is difficult and the story overall is fabulous! A definite good read!!!!! (7/16/10)

The Seer and the Sword by Victoria Hanley
I read this book in 6th grade for a book report. I read allot of books all the time. Later I remembered this book (the plot line and such) and wondered what it was. Three years later, now, I found it. It's still just as good as it was then! I recommend this book to any reader. It's an easy and fun read that takes the reader through a crazy adventure of death, love, joy, and pain. :) its awesome! (7/19/10)

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer

Really good!!! I missed Stephenie, and I hope she publishes more Twilight books!!! If you want to read this book, you have to read the whole series first (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn) or you can read the first three. You don't really understand if you haven't read Eclipse and New Moon. This is great!! A mixture of action, romance, and mystery. Bree is a newborn vampire, and there's a lot of unknown stuff around her.
