“The Spring Whale Sale is our most popular event,” said Foundation Executive Director Natalie Martinez. “Not only will you find great deals on thousands of items, your purchase will help support important literacy programs at Jefferson County Public Library, creating stronger communities across the county.”
The sale will also feature Bert’s Curiosity Corner, an area devoted to vintage books and magazines, all of which are individually priced. The Corner has a large selection of books on Colorado and western history.
This Whale of a Used Book Sale is expected to generate more than $65,000. The proceeds fund programming at Jefferson County Public Library, such as the Traveling Children’s Library, Summer Reading Club, Early Literacy Learning Playscapes, American Sign Language Storytimes and JCPL 2 Go Lending Tablets.
