Dan Yaccarino is an author, illustrator, artist, animator, and producer who was born on May 20, 1965 in Montclair, New Jersey. He attended Parsons School of Design in New York and currently lives in New York City with his wife and two children. Yaccarino has contributed to several shows on Nickelodeon; he creates and produces Oswald and is a character designer for the Backyardigans.
