Douglass recently retired from a 35-year career in the commercial banking business. Prior to his retirement, he worked for FirstBank of Lakewood, most recently as president, FirstBank of Lakewood. He is past chair of Jefferson County Economic Development Council Board of Directors, and has also served as vice president of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Colorado and treasurer of Family HomeStead. In addition, he is a former member of the Jefferson County Library Foundation Board of Directors. In 2006 he was appointed by Governor Ritter to the State Board of Private Occupational Schools. Douglass has lived in Jefferson County for the past 25 years. He has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of New Mexico.
